<![CDATA[The Vermont Apron Company - Blog]]>Fri, 25 May 2012 17:44:03 -0500Weebly<![CDATA[Adding a Bib]]>Sun, 20 May 2012 10:54:16 -0500http://www.vermontapron.com/1/post/2012/05/adding-a-bib.htmlGood Sunday Morning to you,
It's been busy and posting seems to have fallen to the wayside. I apologize. The good news is that, finally, the Harvest Bag Apron has a Bib Top. Many of you took the Harvest Bag to heart and headed out to gather an abundance of heavy things like potatoes and found that the Harvest apron would begin to sag under the weight of 20 pounds or more. We have solved that problem by adding a bib top that attaches to the back waist ties. We made two places in which to draw the ties, allowing an extended fit. Also made from a denim, we hopes this serves our customers as the gather the fruits of their labor....or I should say the veggies of their labor.

Peace and joy,
Susannah

We have uploaded the Gardeners Apron and Long Hostess in denim. More to come as samples are finished and basic pictures taken.

Joy and Peace to you.

<![CDATA[Today]]>Wed, 18 Apr 2012 20:15:26 -0500http://www.vermontapron.com/1/post/2012/04/today.htmlToday we received the denim and started having fun. We also put up a Pot Holder Page and added a way to order a matching set for whichever apron you purchased. Brilliant us!]]><![CDATA[Website Work]]>Sun, 15 Apr 2012 15:27:40 -0500http://www.vermontapron.com/1/post/2012/04/website-work.htmlThe website is always being tweaked but major renovation feels like a more honest term. Tea Cozies, both styled pages area done. Prairie Bonnets are better but I would prefer a live model. I am waiting for the first bolt of Denim to arrive. That is where I want to be, I can't wait to make the new samples.

<![CDATA[Coffee Pot Apron]]>Sun, 01 Apr 2012 14:50:25 -0500http://www.vermontapron.com/1/post/2012/04/coffee-pot-apron.htmlWe have a nice print with a coffee pot theme. We paired it with black swirls. Fun! It was worn by Frank so we could get a look and I have to admit, although it was meant as a woman's apron, it looks good on Frank, too. Don't a lot of men make breakfast and serve coffee in the morning? It really can be unisex, can't it? So I added it to the Man's Work Apron Page with a brief note about unisex. We really aren't gender specific as much as we use the terms loosely to help people be guided through our pages of lace, ruffles and bodice styles. The Coffee pot Apron will be our first Unisex Apron that will show in both the Man's and Woman's Pages. Here's a peek at Frank and the female dress form wearing the same Apron.

The Coffee Pot Apron is also the first of our new Kitchen line. Kitchen apron features include; lightweight one layer of fabric, flat pockets, co-coordinating ties

<![CDATA[More about Goth]]>Sun, 18 Mar 2012 17:49:39 -0500http://www.vermontapron.com/1/post/2012/03/more-about-goth.htmlWe had a the best time taking pictures of the Goth Aprons. Our Model and Photographer were terrific. Thank you Elizabeth and Julie! It was so much fun to shoot here at The Tannery Marketplace. The property is loaded with brick walls, stone, old cement and aged wood. What a great photographic playground it turned out to be.

The problem that I have discovered with any photo shoot is editing. When you sit down with over 100 great shots, it's saddening not to use them all. We hope you enjoy what we have done. Have a great Sunday

<![CDATA[Goth]]>Fri, 16 Mar 2012 11:24:20 -0500http://www.vermontapron.com/1/post/2012/03/goth.htmlTomorrow is Goth Day here in the studio. We have our photographer, model and creepy buildings in place. Then we are back to finishing the updates on our website and we might even be able to get back to our newsletter and blogs. Here, in the new studio, I think we are actually catching up and begining to serve our customers better....we hope...truly.

<![CDATA[Formality of Black and White]]>Mon, 12 Mar 2012 14:34:57 -0500http://www.vermontapron.com/1/post/2012/03/formality-of-black-and-white.htmlElegant dining requires an elegant hostess and not everyone wants a long length apron. Some women prefer a short apron that maintains that look of elegance. Here's what we came up with for that occasion. Find them under the Cute Apron tab under womens.

<![CDATA[Being Sick and Business]]>Tue, 06 Mar 2012 09:18:36 -0500http://www.vermontapron.com/1/post/2012/03/being-sick-and-business.htmlWhen you're a new, little company and the key people end up in bed for days with a virus, realizations occur. A business is like a toddler, it keeps going whether anyone is there to watch it or not. Orders keep coming, fabric keeps landing and phone calls and emails pile up. We apologize for our lateness and as we are recovering, are working diligently to catch up. On a brighter note, new spring fabric is here!
