Cute Aprons

02/23/2012

We never did come up with a better name for these Aprons . People just kept saying,  "They're so cute!"... so we went with that. Maybe we weren't very imaginative that day or maybe tired. What ever the reason, they are still titled, "Cute Aprons" mostly because they really are, just so cute.  After digging through all our stock, we only have 6 patterns. We apologize for that. Spring will be blossoming soon and so will more Cute Aprons.

Best, Susannah

Today we photographed every Gathered Bib Apron that we could find in stock and also every Regular Bib Apron. The white ones came out too pale in their pictures and need to be re-shot but for now they are up on the website. We are averaging a dozen of each style on a page as we re-do each category. At least we are achieving some consistency and our customers have a lot more from which to choose. It will take at least another week of upgrading to finish the website. Than onto Spring fabrics and a few new designs.

Happy Valentines Day. We wish you love this day and always.

Sincerely,
Susannah

Half Apron Pages

02/12/2012

Dear Readers,
Two web pages are complete and newly divided. We took the Half Apron page and divided it into Short and Long. There are too many prints to keep all of them on a single page and still have the page open in a timely manner.

We are always appreciative of feedback. We can now promise that we have no Half Apron that is not on the website.

Stay warm,
Susannah

Gathering Aprons

02/08/2012

Today is officially  "Let's gather everything we have" Day. Tomorrow is "Let's organize everything we gathered into groups" Day. And Friday is "Let's take its picture and get it up onto the website" Day. We hope Saturday will be "Lots of people buy Aprons" Day...:)...Organization is good.

Have a wonderful Day,
Susannah

Our customers always commented that we had a lot more product in our retail store than on our website. That was true. Anything that fell to low numbers remained in the store only. With the closing of our store, we are planning to upload everything to the website. Next week is blocked off for photography and uploading everything we have. We have one of each of the Aprons below.

They are one of the first Half Aprons we did. I always feel a special attachment to our firsts of any design. They are great for housecleaning, the pockets carry all your stuff and the length protects your pants as you move dusty furniture or scrub grime or mop.
Have a great Day!
Susannah

Summer Dresses

02/01/2012

Going through our old samples, I found our first summer dress. Trying it on made me remember just how deliciously wonderful it feels to wear it. I always felt it was my best cut for simplicity and flattery.  I dug out the patterns we made and decided that we will definitely add it to spring, With lace on the bottom, I can go contemporary or vintage. I just need to come up with a head piece for it.

Best,
Susannah

Hostess Aprons

01/31/2012

Dear Readers,

We finished the two Homespun Hostess Aprons. We get a lot of requests for them by woman who are hostessing a formal dinner and want an Apron to wear that looks elegant in the dining room. It wears comfortable over a dress and looks wonderful in heels. The lace collar is stitched down so that it stays in place wash after wash.

The hem is accented with pleats and finished with a wide Venice lace. The pockets are ruffled and extra large. The long waist ties are wide enough to make a nice bow whether you tie it in the back or front. We hope it works well for you  and that you feel elegant at your dinner.

Best,
Susannah

New Work

01/30/2012

Working in the new studio space has turned out to be everything we hoped. Finally we are getting to the backlog of work that has grown into heaps and piles on our tables. Today, the Edwardian Smock Apron was finialized and samples and patterns made. Finally it goes into production this week. The fabric we chose is a vintage print with a male version. The female will be a tiny floral and the males get a matching stripe. Ths will be our first Huband and Wife Apron set that we will place on a new page that we create for the website. Of course, you can purchase them singularly as well.  It's nice we can get to spread our wings a bit more. We look forward to uploading them next week.

Best,
Susannah

Winter Aprons

01/26/2012

Lets call them what they really are, Winter Aprons. We take our popular No-Tie Aprons and make them out of soft warm flannel. They fit over baggy sweaters and look good over jeans or an old worn favorite corduroy skirt. We have 3 colors. You can find them on our No-Tie Apron page. Enjoy!

Best,
Susannah

Getting on Track

01/23/2012

We are near done with our move and are now taking stock and making plans for the website. The new studio is gorgeous and I think will breath fresh enthusiasm into our work. I ache to get started. I feel so renewed. One truth: you never know how much fabric you have aquired until you decide to move it all.

Best,
Susannah
